This wedding MC tip applies to both the wedding mc speech honoring the bride and groom, if you’re asked to give one, and also to the wedding reception program which you will be in charge of as the wedding Master of Ceremonies…
5. Practice your presentation out loud a number of times until you feel comfortable with it.
- Rehearse what you’ll say when you announce the bride and groom to the wedding guests.
- Rehearse how you’ll introduce the members of the bridal party.
- Rehearse your own introduction to the wedding guests so they know who you are.
- Rehearse how you will introduce those who will be giving a wedding speech or proposing a wedding toast.
- Rehearse any one-liners, quips, or jokes you plan to make during the program.
- Rehearse how you will make general announcements throughout the reception.
Practicing before the wedding reception so you feel comfortable with your material is the key to reducing your nervousness and ensuring the program runs smoothly.
