Traditionally, the groom’s wedding thank you speech concludes with a toast to the bridesmaids.
And the Best Man responds to that toast on their behalf.
But what if there are no bridesmaids at the wedding?
As part of the order of wedding speeches and toasts – and as an alternative to the groom’s toast to the bridesmaids – the Best Man could propose a wedding toast to someone else.
It’s not unusual for someone to make a major contribution to the wedding preparations. It could be any one of a number of things including the decorations, flower arrangement, music, singing, food, or organizing of events.
The Best Man could publicly acknowledge and thank the person who made the noteworthy contribution.
Specifically mention in the tribute what was contributed and how it affected the wedding so the wedding guests can appreciate its significance.
